November 28, 2009: Legacy

Here, I got a little over the top. Verbose, but kinda preachy. Next week, less robots and polemical, and more fun, willies' style. Promise.

Well hey there, you TDC enjoyer you. Did you get enough to eat? Still eating? I am. Can't stay away from the fridge. Hopefully, you had a good time with the family. Could have had too many turkey "giblets."

Did you do the Black Friday thing? Hopefully, you didn't get your ride towed, like they did in Houston.

Ya know, it must suck to end up forgotten, frozen in ice under a bridge like in the pic above, while kids play hockey every day nearby, and cops think it's not important enough to respond, to come and check out what happened to you.

The point here is not to make you feel guilty about the homeless, during your holiday season. The point is to make you greatful (full of greatness).

Grateful is fine and all, and even helps you get out and help those who won't help themselves, unless it is to help themselves to your goods.

Let's face it: pan-handling bums suck. Get a job. Don't stand around smoking ciggies with your cup out, beer in the other hand. Get back into society, ya fucka.

But Greatness is what we are all capable of pursuing, and I wish you the best. No need to end up like that sad fucker above.

Now play this soft, early morning tune, or the other, rocking tune below, while you get yourself powered up and ready for another Weekend At Willies version of the Mighty TDC.

It is a fact that we all will someday leave behind a legacy of our contribution to this planet.

What will your legacy be? Free shoes stuck in ice? Here are some links to this line of Thought, followed by an antidote. Discover some new sites, new views. Maybe even Confront an old misbegotten prejudice.

TDC. Think. Discover. Confront.

How will you be remembered?

Don’t wake up dead

Die rich, if you can.

WipeOut contestant wiped out.

Here's when I will go. How about you?

My Death Clock Calculation

Antidote, willies' style: Strange Creatures, but with a Daughtry song. Sorry.

Now for some robotic creepiness, the EcceRobot, the home of the first anthropomimetic robot. Anthropomimetry means that this robot will look, feel, weigh, act and think like a human when it is finally completed. Cool. (Could have just said, "android," huh?)

Site to explore for those of you who like robots. Botjunkie.

Spybot instructions. Real spybot, wifi enabled?

Antidote to robot creepiness, exploring the web with the Web Directory.

Now back to creepiness: Top tenz creepy places.

Ah. Love, true love. Man sleeps beside dead wife for five years, for hugs.

Antidote: Lars van de Goor pics. Dude is good at taking pictures of some of the most beautiful places.

Emails from assholes. Hellarious!

Mmmm. Love me some zombies. lolz

Before the space program, Arthur C. Clark was involved in the Orion Program, which sought to propel starships via atomic explosives. Wait, what?

Adequate song for space exploration, inner and outer.

As we gear up for the next big holiday, here's a little reminder of the homeless. What is your legacy? Will you leave behind people who were thankful that you were here? Or will your feet be sticking out of the ice as kids play ice hockey under a bridge, and not even bother to steal your shoes? Homelessville singing soup cup (Timberlake)

How this for a legacy? From Tucky, in the TDC forums:

Drillers seek Scotch lost in Antarctica in 1909.

Speaking of creepy old Antarctica ghosts, new Tweets from beyond the grave? Robert Falcon Scott died 100 years ago, trying to be first to reach the Antarctica. Second, but not fail. Check out the second comment, btw.

Now go continue on to help the needy this time of year, so you can forget about them for the rest of the year.

Just remember to die with your shoes on.

God Help You. God Help Us All.

November 21, 2009: Sunday Side Show

(Since I blew it for a first pron blog, my "mea culpa" moment occurred in constructing this here blog, with a hangover. Enjoy!)

Well hi there, my friend, good morning to you.

Are you properly prepared for another excursion down the alley behind the tents of the circus? Who knows what wonders await you. You may be surprised.

Now, you know the routine. Get yourself all properly caffeinated, lubricated, cannibated, indoctrinated, and situated. Hit this song while you read the following big-ass amount of text.

Perhaps the reason that you would be checking out the front page of the Mighty Daily Column on a Sunday is because you want to see a Side Show. I thank you for your time and attention, and assure you that neither will be wasted, even if you, perhaps, are. However, today is none of the usual freaky stuff. That will happen next weekend. Instead, consider this:

If you’ve followed the Weekend At Willies column of the Mighty TDC in the past, then you know that these columns are written with a theme, each time. One guess as to what today’s theme will be.

What is it that makes you grateful? Have a roof over your head? Somebody who kisses you or wags their tail when they see you? Maybe you have a team of expert killers in your on-line niche who await your every direction and command? Got kids? Got a job that pays the bills, as well as your favorite enjoyment or pursuit?

Then, indeed, you might be grateful. Thanksgiving may mean turkey for you, and all the fixin’s that go along with it, but even if you are alone, with no big family orgy of food, football, and family fighting, remember one thing: you, my friend, are alive and here on this planet.

Every encounter that you have with another is an opportunity to give. This “Give” is important, because it is a sort of “social lubrication.” Indeed, human interaction is a form of social intercourse, and one must always be a good member, and not be too harsh, or dry, or oddly stiff with each other.

Don’t you agree? If so, then Giving Thanks is a priority, not only to your concept of a higher power, but also to each other. Be gentle with your neighbor. Maybe they will decide not to go off and shoot up your workspace/mall/school.

Just my two cents, ya dirty-minded TDCer.

Let’s kick this bitch now, shall we?

Now be thankful for what precious time you have:

Tucky showed me the Black Hole....that the Chinese are now able to create. I guess this means "fuck the Large Hadron Collider." Now those crazy fuckers can blow us up before 2012?

Check in here daily. Cool shit. For Bossman.

Here's a fun little Zombie game.

Finds of the day. Go back to see each previous day, kinda interesting.

Another site of found shit. chico would love this.

Grin and Bear it.

Robots fighting. For TIMT.

Philip K. Dick was an android? And now it's loose in the world? For Jambo.

Pattern recognition with robotic directional laser. For FastCast.

Emails from crazy people, always a good read. Check back often, especially if you might be included?

Another bunch of pics to peruse. Do you get this one? Check the bath tub tiles behind her. She pulled in on her belly, and pushed out her butt... But nice boobies, anyways...

Funny site for you to check out their backlogs.

TDCwillies loves robotics. Iccarrus112277 introduced me to the awesomeness of TED. Here's a crossbreed.

Another pic site to explore. I know that the first pic you'll click on is the "Scratch Bum" pic. Told ya!

And another. See you in a while, bud.

Thank you for joining the Mighty TDC on your Sunday, your well-deserved day of rest. Here's a nice song with an excellent video. it must have taken a lot of planning to do what they did.

Be safe, my friend.

Happy Giving Thanks to you. Love well and prosper.

God Help You.
God Help Us All.

November 21, 2009: Weekend At Willies First Pron Attempt

Hey there.

Many TDC forum members have PMed me and said that it's long overdue. And about damn time. Pron for you TDCer, from this dude. Tomorrow, a Sunday Side Show. Willies' style. But for now:

Press play, crank it up, and grab your favorite appendage, mutha fucka.

Start off easy, always the best way, huh? If you delve deeper into uncharted waters using the links in from the following pages, make sure that your Malware protection is up to date. But these links are safe.
Suggested by Tucky: Wicked Weasel, which you already know.

After checking out those models, how about some other types of models?

More models? Here we go.

More, lovelier.

More, nastier.

More. Be warned.

More. Oh no.

More? You bastard. The Dutch are always weird.

Now visit tomorrow, the rest of you who actually like original, written content.

God help you.

God help me.

(Unfortunately, a party erupted at my residence. Folks got mad at the "horny nerd/ snob who is checking out pron while we are all doing shots," so I had to stop what could have been an epic pronblog. Fuck it. I love my friends.)

November 14, 2009: Weekend At Willies, Back Again

Well hey there and good morning to you my friend. Welcome to the weekend edition of The Daily Column, a place to check out fresh news and weird links on the front page, and heated discussions and curious thoughts in our forums .

Join in the fray, why don’t you: signing into our forums doesn’t involve giving away any information about you at all, just give the community something to call you besides “dumbass noob.” Ya know. Then you can say whatever you like, in one of the last uncensored (free speech) boards in the whole interwebnet-tubes thing.

Now, go get your favorite beverage or other weekend morning enjoyment, and fire up this tune while you butter your toast, so to speak.

Some of the discussion in the forums concern the dumbass who loaded up his 20 round clips and took cheap shots at American-Bred-Ass-Kickers who were about to be deployed to the big game and were just sitting there in the cafeteria, eating some Wheaties.

But what about the new bully in the playground? Libyan Muslims are calling the Al-Qaeda Assholes’ terrorism techniques wrong. Does this mean there are correct ways to terrorize? Fuck that.

Yet, this could mean the end of days for the current bunch of cowardly ass-munchers blowing up everyone over there in their own sandbox. Things might get a shake-up over there.

Speaking of terrorism, I thought this week that I had contracted the new and deadly Chinese-constructed weapon known as H1N1, and was facing down the barrel of imminent death. Turned out to be only food poisoning, which sucks, and yes, can actually kill you, but didn’t. However, I had no idea that Serbs are fighting the H1N1 infection the same way they do with their vampires. Read on.

You must know one thing, and it is this. Most Muslims are peace-loving folks with high personal standards for behavior, decency, and respect for others. Islam even accepts Jeebus as a prophet, simply not the only one. So never think I would harsh on anyone’s belief system, as long as you don’t shit on my own. Unless you are into a cult like Scientology, ya freak.

On another note, who doesn’t love a nice, chauvinistic, (but not misogynistic) blog of stories about what it means to be a man, baby, yeah? JD’s Man Stories. Enjoy.

When you get done there, here’s a nice little trip down the science avenue, behind the circus tent. We are closeted technophiles at this site. When you join in the forums, you will discover an inordinate amount of intelligent people who, while in their real lives are involved with engineering and computers and such, come here to blow off steam and fuck with each other. Here are some guilty pleasures of my own.

We're almost there; Using Photosynthesis to produce energy from sunlight. Plants have been doing this for a while now, haven't they?

Roomba Bots as PacMan:

Super fast robotic hand:

Earth As A New Frontier.
The World-Changing Capability of the Global Earth Observation System of Systems (GEOSS)

OOI

OK, news is done. Funny pages for your weekend enjoyment, you TDC enjoyer, you. Touch-up your mug or what-have-you.

The Best of Borat, before the movie. God Bless Sasha Cohen. 24 minute video. (Youtube is allowing vids this long now? Cool.) Yes, 24 minutes of Borat for you. No, I do not hate you:

10 best roof top bars, I still haven't gone to the top of the Palms. Dayam.

Here are a couple of links from our elder statesman 'Tucky, Allah bless him. Thanks Tuck.

Facebook stands up in court. Wha?

The Bugatti is a pretty piece of art. But if you drive one, watch out for fowl play.

Now go out and enjoy your weekend. Button up the house, get your firewood properly chopped, stacked, and tarped. Old wood is the best wood, just ask Grandma.

God Help You. God Help Us All.

November 7, 2009: Mad Scientist

Well hey there, enjoyer of the Mighty TDC.

Why not get yourself all ready for a Sunday excursion into willies-land? It's been a while since this has happened, but I promise you, if the Bossman allows, I'll soon be back again for your weekend enjoyment. At least for those of you who care to join in the fray on the weekend, or at least have access to a computer and some of that good internet connection sheeeit.

Now go get your coffee mug or bowl filled up. Whatever it takes you to get in the willies mood.

Me? I like to fill my Starbucks mug with BudLight, and then sit out and watch the sun rise, smoking a butt after a hard night of work draaanking.

Here's a tune you might click while you read a thought I have had that you might consider.

I was thinking, (which always gives me a headache afterwards) after reading online and watching the telly, about this lady-cop who went running towards a crazy fucker who was armed with automatic pistols (20 kisses in each clip) while she was shooting at him, and continued to shoot at him even after she was shot a few times by him and was falling on the ground in a splatter of her own blood.

What I was thinking was this: What would I have done?

I'd like to think that I would have the brass gonads to charge a violent motherfucker who was about to shoot a wounded dude crawling away from him, but I haven't been in such a situation, and frankly, I don't think I'd care to find out.

What about you? What did you do on Thursday?

I ate Froot Loops, which always shred the fuck out of the roof of my mouth, then I complained. I wonder if Kim Munley ever complained about the crunchy and delicious dangerousness of Froot Loops?

So, here are a couple links for you to check; some sites to visit and explore. Hey, I’m rusty. Gimme a break. I don’t do this every day like our Mighty TDC Mastaw Richie, with his able sidekick the Humongously-engorged Hoot, with his own throbbing column each Thursday.

Space junk can be held back with a fence? Where's Richie on this?

Earth-bound junk: pic. Funny.

I wish I sang this well. At least I do in the shower. Nice acoustics. Elsewhere in the house, my wife either laughs or cringes. Just can't help myself. "Gobless" her for putting up with the likes of me. True that, chummy.

Spud Gun technology, which is an oxymoronical phrase.

Gong me! (Free button, for your blog.) I won't do it. This ain't my blog, it's Richie's.

Some good Mark Twain quotes for ya.

Now don't give me shit in the forums because my column ain't long and thick like Richie's or Hoot's. I'm getting back into the swing of things, ya bastuhd.

I’ll leave you with a little ditty from Phoenix, same as the opening tune. Phoenix, as in: Rise up from the ashes of our former glory.

Ya know.

Happy Sunday, God Help You.
God Help Us All.

For Richie, kisses.

October 3, 2009 : Mad Scientist

Welcome to another weekend deviant mind-trip into the fifty-first state of the U.S., the Untied State of Insanity. Mwuhahahahha...

Let's go down to the lab shall we?

I'll regale you with a tale after we descend into the depths of utter absurdity and mayhem, starting with a lovely medley of two tunes for our trek from The Features. "Drawing Board." It's carnivalistic. (The second part is the best.)

The Features "Whatever Gets You By/Drawing Board" from Lake Fever Sessions on Vimeo.

Under advisement of counsel, I have been told to not release any videos of the interesting night I had that involve Bubbaloo (his nickname, not his real ID) and, I have to wade quite carefully through the following story that I promised you fellow TDCers. I'm sure that you understand.

But here is a video that you must never, ever click on.

Yes, it's me singing Happy Birthday to my lady. The Sushi Chef (and owner of Yoshi) Mike Yoshi found out it was my lady's birthday just when we were leaving, (everyone else was in their cars) and they closed the doors. He and his son served his famous carved fruit thing. Now don't be all judgmental about my pipes, ya bawstud. There was a lot of Sake involved...

Later on, when we were playing dice at my sis-in-law's home (her boy in the yellow shirt in the above vid was abed), some dude knocks at the door, holding a plastic shopping bag full of Budweiser cans in one hand, a half carton of Marlboro Reds in the other, and a shit-eating grin. He told me that he'd rolled his truck on Route 9, (twenty minutes away) and was looking for his buddy "Roy."

We told him where "Roy" used to live, and sent him on his way.

After an hour or so, dude comes back. "They wouldn't let me in!"

No shit. But guess who wanted to let him in this place? Yup. My lady. "I know you Bubbaloo! Come on in!"

(Omitted stuff)

The walk, out of my sis-in-law's home (an hour later) with Bannanaloo was quite interesting. My son had been speaking in our native language with this creepy dude all evening, (son being my tribe's language preservationist), but all I can speak of my native language are "Hello, how are you?" and other pleasantries, plus all the swear words.

What words do you remember from Spanish or French class in High School? You see what I mean. Only the funny words.

Bubbalingaloo seemed to get offended by my lack of responses other than "Hello" and "Shit!" and the sort, in the native tongue of these parts. He became agitated.

My lady suddenly had the impulse to announce her enjoyment of her birthday at the top of her lungs.

Bubbaloo's eyes went wide with shock. His mouth gaped, and I saw that his teeth looked the way that the bottom of a Bic lighter does when someone opens too many beer bottles with it.

He freaked out.

(omitted action verbs here)

Well, when one goes down face first into the gravel, mouth wide open, their next thought, (after one comes to, spitting out rocks) might be: What do rocks eat?

Too bad for him.

Kind of throws your perspective off, huh?

It was like a bad, recurring dream that I've had.

Here's a bad dream I'm glad that I've never had.

Buggaloony just wanted to be home, in bed, snuggling his pink bunny.

OK, Enough of that. I wanted it to be better, but it is what it is.

Antidote, for your kids or the young folks Bubbaloser might be holding captive in the cellar... Interactive video for them. Actually, this is quite well done.

Now for dessert.

It'll be X-Mas soon.

Get some gifts for the fam. These pics would be cool.

Here is a site to visit for thirty seconds, on a daily basis.

Here are some links from our good friend Kentucky Dave. Thank you Dave, for your support.

Be safe, and never let Bombaloony in your home.

God Help You. God Help Us All.

Autumn Monday

Well, Richie has gone off this week on another pursuit of enjoyment for him, his lady, and his lucky kids, along with a bunch of other buds and their respective fams. Now how in thee hell do you do such a thing in this awful economy?

Summer has ended, but only in your mind. Never mind that we'll be shoveling and getting plowed soon.

(Make your own jokes.)

Let's do like Richie has, and squeeze the last drop out of sunshine weather's goodness. All good things must come to an end, ya know. Put your headphones on.

But maybe an old school summer tune to cheer you up.

What would you think about dressing up in a gorilla costume and handing out bananas while "Hail To The Chief" plays? In a Hospital. For the workers? Health Care anyone? When did we become so Politically Correct? Too P.C. if you ask me. Overly sensitive. Give me a break.

We all know that in public transport, crying babies are annoying. Who wants to be seated next to one on a four hour flight? But kicking a mom and her toddler off a bus (no stroller, three bags) is asinine.

Let's talk about the following in the forums:

We have the disturbing case of a Census Worker, Bill Sparkman, (God Rest His Soul) who lost his life in an awful way. All duct-taped and then hanged, with the word "fed" drawn on his chest. Well, at least he ate.

The cause of his death appears to be due to the paranoia of someone involved in conspiracy theories that abound as of late due to the use of GPS devices by Census Takers preparing for the oncoming Census Review.

The concern of these paranoid folks is that the GPS will permanently place the location of the front door of their home into the world-wide satellite tracking systems.

This could, according to them, open the door for a possible home invasion by the New World Order armed forces, or even smart bombs, for use upon "undesirables," as deemed by those in power.

But, hasn't the U.S. Post Office already figured out where everyone in our country lives? Starting, like, 202 years ago?

What is up with that shit? Forget our society becoming litigious, how about fucking stoopid?

For you Mac Heads: Apple hybrid. Now in two colors.

Monday sucks. So here are some links to pic archives for you to peruse while you make it through to beer o'clock.

Time to quit smoking.

Nice gold guns. Old link, shown here before.

Old Genesis game. NSFW lesbian scene in the last part.

Old surgical tools.

Old robots on a t-shirt.

Old motivational Pics. New source, U.K. Some are racist.

A new pic, daily. Check back, daily.

More pics.

Prison inventions.

More pics. USA!

Mount Rushmore? No!

Antidote: odd animal friendships. Between animals, you gross person. WTF were you thinking?

More pics.

Last link. A ginormous Airbus A340 crashed, over a month ago. No one ever knew: media blackout. And, it never left the ground.

OK, one more pic.

Another, a gif for you. Smooch from kitty.

Put your head phones back on:

For my lady. Duffy sings her own song "Mercy."

For me. And you. Derek Trucks rocks his "Flood" song. Saweet.

Happy Monday to you.

Tomorrow on Tuesday, (and the following two days thereafter,) the mighty Hoot will dangle his goods in your face, in addition to his consistently up-beat and inspiring Thursday Column, so tune in to enjoyment for those of us who do not have access to a big blue couch at a beach house.

Take it away Hoot.
