Having been invited to contribute to my favorite online community's front page is quite an honor. I hadn't realized exactly how much work it takes to create a daily column, in addition to contributing to the community inside the site, while also having full and active family, social, and work lives.

Kudos to you, Richie of thedailycolumn.com because you do well. You do damn well.

As for me, I'm probably going to come up with only ten or twelve links, but they will be interesting, and things that you might not find one your own unless you were looking for them.

I've got some ideas for discussion points, too, and some other things I'd like to bring to the table.

Day 1

I've been asked about my name.
No, it is not in reference to anything sexual.
It is instead related to horror writing.
The willies are the creepy crawlies, the heebeejeebies.

Writing is something I enjoy doing. My occupation as a scientist supports my writing habit.
It's been said so often it's now a cliche; folks pick a hobby that is most unlike what they are good at doing.
It is something to work at, something that intrigues you because it is so unlike your comfort zone.
That would be writing for me.
